It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Voorhees Hume, who was dearly loved by all who knew her. Catherine was the beloved daughter of Charlotte Emily Meek and George Lewis Hume, and she spent her early years in Taylorsville, Kentucky. She also had the unique experience of working in Germany as a civilian secretary for the government, contributing her skills and warmth to the civil service.
Catherine was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Louise Hume, and her brother, Johnny Hume. She is survived by her ten nieces and nephews: John R. Bello Jr. and his wife Laurie, Dr. Steven Bello and his wife Susan, Dr. Gregory Bello and his wife Cindy, Dana Zuber and her husband Dr. John Zuber. She also leaves behind five great-nieces and nephews.
Catherine was a strong woman who loved her family deeply and lived her life on her own terms. Her kindness, dedication, and love will be deeply missed. We will miss you, Aunt Cathy.
