
Catherine “Kitty” Lawrence, an 87-year old, life-long native of Louisville, peacefully passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the morning of Tuesday, August 18. A long-time member of Southeast Christian Church, Kitty was very active in her service for Jesus Christ via numerous ministries at the church. She was a graduate of Nazareth College (now Spalding University), an avid bridge player at the Louisville Bridge Center, a life-long pianist, and an enthusiastic tennis player. Kitty was also involved in various civic activities, including the Woman’s Club of Louisville and the McDowell Music Club. In additional to her love for the Lord and her grandchildren, Kitty was passionate about University of Louisville Basketball and Football Teams and she cheered for her Cardinals incessantly. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Randolph “Randy” Lawrence, and her brother, Albert “Happy” Veth, and is survived by two sons, Albert (Jan) Lawrence and Jeff (Bette Jean) Lawrence, five grandchildren, Wayne (Nichole) Goff, Erin Lawrence Spellman, Brandon (Emily) Lawrence, William Lawrence, Charles “Chaz” Lawrence, and three great-grandchildren, Patrick, Hayden, and Avery. Visitation will be at Evergreen Funeral Home on Saturday, 2-4 pm, and Sunday, 2-3 pm. A Funeral Worship Service will be at the Chapel at Evergreen Funeral Home on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 3 pm, officiated by Rev. Don Waddell and Rev. Dr. Jeff Lawrence. Private entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery on Monday, 11 am.
