Judy Catherine Richardson, 79, peacefully in her sleep joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 26, 2025. She was born in Sewanee, Tennessee to the late James and Georgia Stephens on October 19, 1945. Cathie was raised by her aunt and uncle, Alvin & Ethel Partin, who became “mom and dad”.
Cathie loved dancing, especially at the Air Force NCO clubs across the world. While dancing, Cathie enjoyed her rum & coke and a cigarette. After Ralph retired from the Air Force, they settled down in his hometown of Louisville, KY. Cathie started working at Walmart on Outer Loop where she made many friends. Cathie has been a member of St. Rita Catholic Community for over 30 years. She will be greatly missed.
Cathie was preceded in death by her parents; her mom & dad; and several siblings.
Left to cherish Cathie’s memory is her loving husband of 60 years, Ralph; her children, Candy Mulholland (Rick), Joe Richardson, Scott Richardson, Cindy Bouchard (Rob); grandchildren, Katie Fish (Ryan), Sarah Mulholland, Ayla Richardson, Kolby Richardson (Courtney); great grandchildren, Kevin Einspahr, Charlie, Kaylee, and Carter Richardson; several siblings, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation for Cathie will be at Arch L Heady Funeral Home- Okolona Chapel, 8519 Preston Hwy, 40219 on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 2pm until 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy, 40219, with a luncheon following, then burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
Memorial donations in Cathie’s honor should be directed to Wounded Warrior Project or Stop Soldier Suicide
