

Cecil J. Clark, 93, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. He was a native of Pleasureville, KY, a veteran of the U S Army, during WW II, and a member of the First Special Services, the precursor to the Green Berets and Navy Seals. He was awarded 6 Bronze Stars for his meritorious service in Italy, France, and Germany. The First Special force was awarded a Congressional Gold Medal in 2013.
He was a retired driver for the old Falls City Brewing Co., he was a true sportsman in the field, was a loving husband, and father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dora Brueggeman Clark, his children; Donna Thacker (Vince), Jim Clark (Ann), and David Clark (Brenda), his sister; Juanita Siers, and his 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandsons.
Services to celebrate Mr. Clark’s life will be held at 10 am Wednesday, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons, 1201 E. Oak St. with interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens with Military Rites. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Tuesday.
