Charles R. Alfred, 89, of Louisville, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011.

He was a retired installer for Jeridon Floor Covering and a Navy veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his wife Marian J. Harrell Alfred; children, Sharon Beam (Don), Tony Alfred (Deborah), Virginia “Ginger” Ottersbach (Bruce), and Kelly Ottersbach (Jimmy); 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be at 10:00 am Monday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 12-8 pm Sunday.

Do you remember the 6 ft. wooden cross Bob made for me for the Insight Groups? To walk through that cross, you had to put everything down, with your arms extended out like you were one with Jesus on His cross ! That's who Bob is to me!! Pam and I are loving you all and praying . Mimi
