He was born on November 12, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles Blanchard Sr. and Emma Heil Amshoff.
He is survived by a sister, Mabel Ottersbach and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Bodner.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Friday, November 15th at 10:00 am at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, November 14th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
