He was a pipefitter for the Pipefitters Local Union #522, a member of St Denis
Catholic Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II and Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post #148.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Gaus McCreary; daughter, Diane Kratzwald, (John); sons, Chuck (Connie), Ron (Donna), and Tom McCreary; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Layman.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at the Green Valley Care Center, Unit # 400.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St Denis Catholic Church 4205 Cane Run Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 3-8 p.m. at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home 7710 Dixie Hwy.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may go to the Alzheimers Association or Mass of the Air.
