Charles Emanuel Smyzer, 67, of Louisville, passed away on the evening of January 17, 2016 at Meadowview Nursing Home. He was a retiree of the U. S. Post Office with 20 years of service, and had also retired from the military with 15 years with the U. S. Army.
Left cherishing his memory is his ex-wife and companion, Joyce McGinnis Smyzer and his step-children, Twana Shanklin, Penny Mucker-Williams (Mark), Trina Clay (Reggie), Michael James Mucker (Jada); 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, along with numerous friends and extended family.
A Life Celebration Memorial service will be on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be on Monday January 25th from 11 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.
Charles' inurnment will be in KY Veteran Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY, on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. Please meet at the gate at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m.
