Charles was my oldest living cousin.  I am the youngest.  He was an interesting fellow. Our grandparents were old when I was born.  They lived in an old house with no plumbing. I was put off and a little scared of it and them.  My siblings and cousins on the other hand loved to stay with them.  As  I grew older, and hopefully a little wiser, I grew to appreciate them for their intelligence,  work ethic, economy,  and prudence.  That was in no small part due to the anecdotes I heard from Charles,  my siblings, and  my cousins as well as the love i saw in  them, and his wife Norma,  for my grandparents.

My condolences to your family during this difficult time.  May the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 comfort your family.  

My deepest condolences to the family for your loss. Psalms 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And of because of special mightiness they are 80 years. Very special indeed!*
