Charlie has been one of the most significant joys in the combined lives of many who cherish him. Family and friends take comfort in knowing his life was full and filled with the love of his children, his siblings, his nieces, nephews and friends. He was kind, hilarious and at times annoying but always caring. He was determined and never accepted defeat. He just did not like to lose. His long, difficult and painful journey with illness was confronted with his usual resolve to survive. Charlie faced his battles with profound strength and perseverance worthy of respect.
Charlie will not be forgotten. He will remain with us in the countless memories we all share and in the ways he made us better for knowing him.
He is survived by his sons, Jack and Andrew, his spouse and mother of his children, Regina, his brothers, Philip (Elaine), William, Grant, Perc, Joseph, his sisters, Katherine and Elaine and many nieces and nephews.
Our family thanks the nurses and staff at Baptist East Park Tower who provided Charlie comfort and kindness. And a special thanks to our sister and brother, Kitty and Joe, who cared for Charlie every day in every way in his final months.
