

Charles “Chuck” McKinley Wethington, 82, returned to his Lord & Savior surrounded by his loved ones, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was born in Owensboro, KY on August 15, 1943 to the late William A. Wethington and Mary Segars.
Chuck was a proud airman of the United States Air Force and the Vietnam War. He loved fishing, golfing and spending time with his loved ones. Chuck was retired as refrigeration mechanic from Vittitow Refrigeration after 26 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Diane Wethington; brother, Jay Wethington; stepfather, Virgil Segars; and stepbrother, Larry Marksberry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Renee (Larimore) Wethington; daughters, Marla Welp (Dwayne) and Shawn Hayden; step-children, Leslie Carlton (Mickey), BJ Close (Amy) and Ashlee Schaaf (Garry); grandchildren, Scott Stewart (Jelita), Autumn West, Destiney Morrison (Chris), Breanna Troup (Kyle) and Patrick Hayden (Annie); step grandchildren, Tyler Hayden, Bret Carlton, Tyler Carlton, Trevor Walker and Trent Schaaf; great grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, Jazlynn, Julian, Jayliyah, Javius, Jaden, Judith, Josiah, Kyndall, Azzahra, Camilla, Yusef and Omar; brother, Raymond Wethington (Linda); sister, Tammy Hatfield (Jeff); mother in law, Lorine Larimore; brothers in law, Terry Larimore and Steve Larimore (Sandy); and a host of extended family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Monday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Chuck will be laid to rest in the Honor Garden at Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Lane, Mt. Washington, Ky 40047.
