Charles was born to the late Rommie "Pete" White and Leontine Roxie Neagle. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Elma White; his sister Wanda Dickson; and his brother-in-law J.W. Wright.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Howard (Bobby); three grandsons, Phil Flewwellin, Chris Flewwellin, and Tony Flewwellin (Lauralea); his sister Faye Wright; and his brother-in-law James Dickson.
Charles served in the U.S. Army and went on to retire as a supervisor at Boone Box Company. He continued to work for several years at Derby City Warehouse. He also did upholstery work on the side. Charles's commitment to his faith was steady and faithful, as he was a dedicated member of the Eastern Gate Baptist Church and previously, Minors Lane Baptist Church for over five decades with his precious wife, Elma.
In his free time, Charles enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, and skiing with his family, which included lifelong friends- the Lucas and Grider families. He was the mischievous one of the group- we all had lots of love and laughter with him.
His greatest joys were Phil, Chris, Tony, and the great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jazlyn, Alleigh, Lilly, Tucker, and Brayden. The family also wants to recognize his special friends, HB Elmore and David Wilkerson.
