Charlotte Ann Scrogham

Born on July 17, 1942 in Louisville, to Gilbert and Mildred Holloway. Charlotte lived a life full of kindness and devotion to her family and community. She attended Durrett High School. She worked at Kmart and at the local Convenient Foodmart where everyone knew her best as mom or grandma for her kind spirit.

In 1958, Charlotte married the love of her life James E. Scrogham Sr. For 58 wonderful years they built their marriage on friendship, laughter and love. Together they raised three children James E Scrogham Jr., Roxann and Sheila. They built a warm loving home and created a lifetime of memories going on adventures and by spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Charlotte was very fond of growing flowers, painting ceramics and sewing. She enjoyed collecting Avon, Dolls, U.S. Plates from every state, and her large collection of assorted fridge magnets. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandma, and an excited great grandma (GiGi).

She is survived by her two children: son James E Scrogham Jr., and her daughter Sheila Bryant (Johnny). Her three grandchildren: Mindy French (Rob), Alisha Bodner (Rob), Devon Scrogham (Kayla). Also left to cherish her memories are her nine great grandchildren: Gabriel, Breann, Lochlan, Lilly, Lance, Charlotte, Justin Jr., James and Declan.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Scrogham Sr., her daughter Roxann Lawhorn, her sisters: Harriett Tabler and Barbara Poston, and her two cherished granddaughters: Deirdre Morris and Sara Docia.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 1-7pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40213. Her funeral service will be held at 12pm on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
