Christian Ernesto Barreto, 23, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 in Cannon AFB New Mexico. He was born July 18, 1991 in Fort Stewart, Georgia. He was a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force, 2010 graduate of Fern Creek High School and from a Roman Catholic family. He joined the Air Force in 2011 and was the UAV co-pilot of the Predator.
He is survived by his parents; US Army retired Eduardo E. and Jacqueline Barreto, a brother Edward D. Barreto.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014 at 10:00am St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road with interment in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central with full military honors performed.
Visitation will be Monday, September 1st, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
