Christine was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her strength, independence, wisdom and understanding. She was an active member of the Jeffersontown Senior’s Center and cherished the wonderful friends she made. Christine’s passions included travel, gardening, photography, reading and doing puzzles. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband First Sergeant O.L. Midkiff (KIA in Vietnam), son Robert Midkiff and second husband Roger E. Maiden.
Christine leaves behind her son Henry J. Midkiff, daughter in law LeeAnn Midkiff, grandchildren Tara Midkiff and Daniel Humphrey and step children Stuart Maiden (Joyce) and Roger Lee Maiden.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 29th at 2pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home. Guest can start to gather in the chapel at 1pm on Thursday. Her final resting place will be Resthaven Memorial Park next to her beloved son Robert Midkiff.
