Clara Marie DeBord

She was born July 27, 1920 in Lincoln County, KY, the daughter of Adolph and Mary Francis Feldman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Ephraim “Windy” DeBord, and one son, Hershel Wayne “Sonny” DeBord. She was the last surviving sibling of 11 children.

Clara was a Professional Seamstress and Homemaker. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Prospect, KY where she was very active and involved in the Bible Study Group. She was also a member of St. William Catholic Church in Lancaster, KY.

Survivors include her daughter, Rita Friedmann (Fred); son, James Kendal DeBord (Lydia); 10 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as her family, friends and acquaintances at church.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the St. Bernadette Bible Study Group, who was like a second family to Clara.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 6500 St. Bernadette Ave. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the mass, from 10 AM – 12 PM on Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

In lieu of customary expressions, donations may be given to St. William Catholic Church, 224 Lexington Rd. Lancaster, KY 40444.
