While there, Clara met Noel C. Williams. They were married in July 1944. To this union, two children were born, Lynn and Brent.
The family lived in St. Louis, Missouri, for many years and in 1993, the Noel and Clara followed their children to Louisville, Kentucky. In Louisville, Clara was a member of Westport Road Baptist Church.
In September 1998, after 53 years of marriage, Noel preceded Clara in death.
Clara is survived by her children, Lynn Williams, Brent (Katherine) Williams, and dear family friend, Rose Borders.
A celebration of Clara’s life will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville. Family and friends are welcome at to visit on Wednesday, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
