Slucher, Clarence W. “Woody”, 86, of South Louisville peacefully passed from this life on Sunday March 25, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side. He was a retired employee of the Pillsbury Co., where he worked for 44 years, a member of the Arcade Avenue Baptist Church, a Navy veteran of World War II and he enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and garden and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kendall, a brother, E. B. Slucher; and a sister, Myrtle Reinle. He is survived by his wife of 62 years the former Irene Robinson; sons, Donnie Slucher, and Mike Slucher (Terry); grandchildren, Mike (Leah), Donnie, Brent (Lindsey), Bruce and Lisa; and 5 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mr. Slucher’s life will be held at 12 pm Tuesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
