I have always enjoyed Bud's personality and great take on life!  His was a beautiful spirit, and I'm sure he is laughing heartily in his heavenly home!  Please know our condolences are offered for his loving family.  Take Care.

Thoughts and prayers from the Wurdocks in West Michigan.  I remember my grandfather, Carl Wurdock, was very fond of Bud and that they enjoyed carrying on written correspondence with each other for many years.

Good man and good friend. 
Our friendship started over a morning cup of coffee and conversation. We met at Kindred and discovered a shared interest/like/worship of good coffee. The conversations continued after our retirements via telephone and less coffee. I will miss those conversations, sometimes lengthy and sometimes multi day, about many topics.  Bud was one of the most well read, knowledgeable, insightful people that I have ever known. He would pose thought provoking questions that would often lead to lengthy discussions. We both held some opinions that the other could not change. The conversational topics varied greatly, but were never about sports. Except those few times that he would expound his disdain for sports and I would try to impart its benefits. Neither of us could convince the other, but we would still have those discussions occasionally as friends. It was certainly my  good fortune to have met and known Bud Wurdock, and been able to call him my friend. I will miss you greatly my friend.

I worked with Bud for 18 years, and the entire adventure was filled with hilarious stories, strong coffee, even stronger opinions, and of course his brilliance. I hope St. Peter had a brand new Mustang and Buster waiting for him. My thoughts are with Jan, Clark, Stephanie and his family and friends.

Pam and I just saw that Bud passed last week. We are both sad to lose such a wonderful friend; someone we knew for over 40 years. We send our condolences and wish for wide margins of consolation to be yours in this time of loss.

I have more memories of work and personal times with Bud from the day I met him at UL in 1981 to our last visit together. Bud was always someone I could talk to about business and personal issues that arose and I always valued his council.

We have great memories of Derby Parties, dinners, and conversations over the years. We shall deeply miss Bud and wish all of the Wurdock family our best in this time of grief.

I worked with Bud at Kindred for many years. What a great man.  Always had a smile and a story to tell me when I walked past his office. 
He and Jan would come into The Fresh Market, where I work part time  now, and he would catch me up on his life-happenings.  He will be forever missed.

Jan, I am so very sorry to hear about Bud.  My thoughts are with you and your family.  I so enjoyed my long relationship with Bud through Humana and Kindred  and, all my phone calls that could last hours and often delay your dinner.   Bud was truly “one of the good guys”!
I am going to try and make it to the service on 9/27.
