Claude Thomas Gott

Claude Thomas “Tom” Gott, 83, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away on May 29, 2026. He was born on August 20th, 1942 to Hugh and Dorothy Gott. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather whose love for his family was evident throughout his life.

Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. Following his military service, he began a career with Ford Motor Company, where he worked for 30 years before retiring.

A man of many interests and talents, Tom was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting watches and knives. He also had a passion for scuba diving and spent time exploring and recovering sunken ships.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Dorothy Gott, as well as his brother, Hugh Vance Gott. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Anna Gott; his daughter, Jamie Albanese (John); his grandsons, Steve Flener (Trina) and Sean Albanese (Aubrey); his great-grandchildren, Kalysta, Paige, Avery, Emery, and Reese; and his great-great-grandson, Mikey.

Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In accordance with his wishes, no public services will be held.
