Clyde was born on October 31, 1922 in Wardell, Missouri to the late Francis Barnes and Lela Barnes Ellis.
Clyde is retired as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army, serving during WWII, and retired Civil Service employee in Fort Knox, serving 40 years in total.
He was a Mason Lodge #959, Shriner, and 32 degree Scottish Rite member.
Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Renate, who passed away in 2002.
Clyde is left to cherish his memory 2 daughters, Gerry Lawhorn and Catherine Ray; grandchildren, Shawna King, Christina Boston, Holly Lawhorn, Eric Bruck, Jodie Stokes, Raymond Stokes, Justin Ray, Dustin Ray; great-grandchildren, Jacob Lawhorn, Hunter Boston, Faith Stevens, Duke Stevens, McKenzie Bruck, and Noah Stokes.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Clyde at 2pm on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8pm on Thursday and from 12pm-2pm on Friday at the funeral home.
