He was preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia A. Moore. Survivors include his children, Steven J. Moore(Johna), Sondra Talbert(Larry), Wanda Best, Nailah Jumoke, Yolanda Jackson, and Mark A. Whalen Sr.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Bettye Lawson(Joe); and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 12 noon Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Forest Baptist Church 4500 Petersburg Rd. Louisville, KY with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 10am-12pm Tuesday at Forest Baptist Church.
