September 18, 1993September 19, 2019

With deepest sorrows, our son, brother, grandson and friend, Connor Michael Gullett, passed away on September 19, 2019. He was born September 18, 1993, to loving parents, Scott and Lori Gullett.

Although just 26 years old at the time of his death, Connor touched many people throughout his lifetime. He was a light that shone brightly through all who knew him and will continue to do so throughout time.

He is survived by his parents, Scott and Lori Gullett; his brother and sister, EJ and Darbi; and his Golden Doodle, Madison. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Dave and Linda Brewer; and his paternal grandfather, Doyle and his wife, Faye Gullett. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Brenda Gullett. He is also survived by aunts and uncles; Shannon and Susie Gullett, David and Vicki Brewer, and Amy Black. Additionally, he is survived by his cousins, and countless loved ones and friends.

We are deeply thankful to the Home of the Innocents Pediatric Convalescent Center (PCC) for their love, care and support of Connor throughout the years. We cannot express our gratitude enough to the staff who directly cared for Connor at Hazelwood. Most notably the following: Matos, Tarpeh, Leo, Ashley, Joseph, Miguel, the David’s, Daz, Allye, Nisha, Paul, Hannah, and former DSP, Chris. We wish we could list everyone by name who cared for his wellbeing but know we will forever be grateful.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 11 am - 2 pm with a memorial service to follow directly after at the Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home on Westport Road.

If you would like to make a donation in Connor’s memory, we ask that it be made to the Home of the Innocents (PCC)— A place we hold near and dear to our hearts.

The con-man, my sweet woobie, by far he should get an award for the best laugh and the best swimmer! I still have sweet memories of him and Darby sitting at the end of the vail bed rocking happily to their own music that only they could hear! EJ running around and Lori and Scott ALWAYS making sure he had WHATEVER he needed! Grandma sitting quietly with him holding his hand! The pool with him diving and bobbing around with Mary Jane and him both laughing so hard! Happy times, Love You Conner and your sweet family❤️❤️😢😢

Connor will always be one of those kids I remember with great fondness. He sharpened my skills as a therapist, trying to come up with ways to keep him safe, and how I loved seeing him in the pool. The freedom and joy he showed was so uplifting. Condolences to his family, he was a special young man.

Conner will be missed greatly and never forgotten. He had such a funny personality, big smile, and an excitement for life. There were many times I was feeling down or not so well and seeing him made me feel comforted. I remember his big laughs when I would tell him “you are one of the many reasons I continue to be a nurse, seeing that big smile is reward enough”. It was an honor to have cared for and have known him.

What a blessing it has been to be a part of Connor's life and have him open the door to meeting his wonderful family. Connor was full of surprise sayings and such a joy on field trips, walking/wheeling, but most of all in the swimming pool. He was so happy in the water and would allow much more interaction. He often shared his wonderful smile and laughs with me and I so cherished those moments.

Conner my muffin😢😢. Oh I'm gonna miss you. I'm gonna miss kissing your forehead and getting hit upside mines for touching you. I'm gonna miss bobbing our heads to the music. I'm gonna miss you yelling at me for demanding a hug, because I know deep down inside you needed them as much as I wanted them. I'm gonna miss that half smile you showed when I called you my love bug. But most of all I'm gonna miss you. I only came to Hazelwood because you made my night. I love you Conner and I'm gonna miss you.
