She was born August 21, 1929 in Shelbyville, IN, the daughter of Arthur and Katie Wood Hardin. She worked at Hall's Café for 40 years and she was kindly known as the neighborhood caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years, Gilbert B. Hardin; a son, Terry Hardin; daughter, Sandra Mattern; son-in-law, Rodney Watson; daughters-in-law, Vicki, Cindi and Peggy.
Survivors include her children, Donna Lamb (Ian), Gary (Irma), Philip, Steve, Janet Watson, Perry, Dale and son-in-law, Robert Mattern; 18 grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other friends and family.
A service to celebrate Cora’s life will be conducted at Noon on Friday, May 5, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Thursday May 4, 2017.
Memorial contributions may be made in Cora's memory to St. Jude's.
