Mr. Bowen was a truck driver with Mr. P Express. He was a member of AMVETS, the Patriot Guard and American Legion Post 157. He was an Army veteran.
He was preceded in rest by an infant son and a brother, David Bowen.
Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife of 20 years, Connie Brown Bowen; a half-brother, Darrell Breed; a sister, Vickie French; a niece and three nephews.
His funeral service will be Friday at noon at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, with interment following in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2pm until 8pm.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to AMVETS Post 61 or American Legion Post 157.
