Daniel Boone Allen, 78, of Louisville, passed away June 8, 2015. He was born September 28, 1936 in Hardinsburg, KY to the late Ulysses Grant and Clara Anderson Allen. He was a retired truck driver for Banner Transfer Trucking Company. He was also a member of Local 89, a mason, a horse trainer/owner at Churchill Downs, a former volunteer firefighter for Edgewood Fire Department, and a driver for HBPA. He is preceded in death by his sons, Dannye Ray and James Gregory Allen. Survivors include his children, Charles Allen, Felicia Bowles, Michael Allen(Linda), and Carolyn Clark(Tommy); 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral service will be 12pm Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8pm Wednesday. Memorial contributions can be made to WHAS Crusade for Children.
