David dedicated 37 years of his career to General Electric, but his greatest joy came from working side by side with his son, David Wayne, building homes and tackling countless projects together. When he wasn’t building, David could often be found tinkering with car engines and lawn mowers or tending to his garden—a place where he found peace and fulfillment. He also proudly served in the United States Army.
Above all, David deeply loved his family. He took great pride in teaching his five children that there was nothing in this world they could not accomplish and cherished every moment spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Bright; his daughter, Kathy Litton; and his son-in-law, Randy Ritsch.
David is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Lou Bright; his son, David Wayne Bright (Suzie); daughters, Donna Rose Vogel (William) and Mary Ann Ritsch; grandchildren, Mary Catherine Hunt (Jay), Melissa Keys (Curtis), Adam Litton (Courtney), Ashley Bowden (Justin), Justin Bright (Ashley), Dylan Bright, and Caitlin Ritsch Leshon (Connor); 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Wathen (Jeanie); a sister, Mary Boscoe; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Tammy Carrier for the loving care and compassion she provided to David during his final years.
