David Eugene Derringer

Derringer, David Eugene, 71, went to be with his Heavenly Father on October 1, 2016. Dave graduated from Durrett High School in 1963. He was saved at Oak Grove Baptist Church, member of New Friendship Baptist Church, and a long time member of Highview Baptist Church. Dave was an avid golfer and lover of the game, a UofL fan, and coached youth sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Lillie Mae; wife, Judy Derringer; siblings, Thomas Derringer and his wife, Nancy and Lucille Asbury and her husband, Randy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of one year, Terry; children, David (Paula), Dwight (Misti), Derrick (Melanie), Keith Blythe (Elaine), Lee Blythe (Jill); grandchildren, Daniel, Davey, Hannah Bloomingburg (Jeremy), Kayla Roof (Jordan), Shane (Taylor), Kelsey, Drew, Liza Grace, Bradley, Hagan, Allison, Shelby, Colby, Jackson, Sean, and Emily; great granddaughter, Savannah; and siblings, Beverly Wingler (Terry), and Jim Derringer (Michele).

A Funeral Service will be Thursday at 12:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
