Nichols, David V., 61, passed away on February 25, 2015. He was a kind and gentle man who worked his whole life for others. David enjoyed watching NFL football, UofL basketball, and listening to classic rock 'n' roll music. He retired from Phillip Morris after 27 years of service then became an over the road truck driver for Carnes Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laverne McBride, step-father, John McBride, and his daughter, Lisa Jo.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Betty Jo; children, Jason, Brian, Eric (Krista), and Jenny; grandchildren, Alyssa, Andrew, and Pravies; brothers, Charles (Vicki) and Philip; uncle, Vincent Korte; and best friend, John Henry
A Memorial service for David will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Sunday from 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
In honor of David, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
