David Howard Roberts

David Howard Roberts, age 64, passed away on April 27, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on February 20, 1962, in Hialeah, Florida, to the late Howard Hoover Roberts and Gladys Mae (Tapp) Roberts.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by his sisters, Linda Roberts and Susan (Bob) Mackowiak, along with several nieces and nephews. He is remembered by his family with tenderness, respect, and love.

David graduated from Daviess County High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Louisville. He valued education and approached life with curiosity and thoughtfulness.

He had a profound love for all animals and for nature. He was deeply devoted to his two rescued cats. His compassion for them reflected the gentle and caring spirit that defined him. His home was made warmer by their presence, and he found great joy in giving them safety, comfort, and companionship.

David will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and quiet strength. He touched the lives of family and friends in ways personal to each, and his memory will remain a lasting source of comfort to those who knew and loved him.

A private memorial service to honor David’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Shamrock Pet Foundation or the Animal Care Society.
