He was a retired Assistant Deputy Director for the Kentucky Prison System, with previous work as a communications specialist with the Central Intelligence Agency. David is a Veteran of the US Army.
David is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Coomes Yarbrough, and his parents John and Carolyn Yarbrough.He is survived by his siblings, Vernon Yarbrough (Glenda), Kevin Yarbrough, and Susan Yarbrough Abell (David). He is also survived by three nephews, one niece, four great nieces and several cousins. He will be greatly missed by all.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 10am-12pm on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will be conducted at 12pm in the funeral home chapel immediately following visitation.
