Delores Jean Martin

Delores was born on April 28, 1941 to the late Claude and Helen Hall.

Delores has enjoyed working in the concessions at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center and being an assistant at Kinder Care. She was a huge pet lover, taking the duty of caring for every animal her children would bring home or that she would lay her eyes on.

Delores is preceded in death by husband, Joseph Martin, Sr., who passed away in 2005; and her parents.

She is survived by her children, Pam Brown (Dean), Joe Martin, Jr. (Gary), Lisa Thompson (Kent), and Terri Goode (Rob); 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Meadows.

There will be a Celebration of Life at noon on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Evergreen Funeral Home, with Dignity Celebrant, Kathy Porter officiating.

Delores will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation for the public will be from 1-8pm on Thursday and from 10am until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

Delores’ family want to thank the staff at Parkway Rehab and Nursing Home, floor #6 for all of the wonderful care given to Delores.

Memorial donations in memory of Delores may be directed to ALS Association (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
