Delores Jean Ott

Delores Jean Ott, 96, passed away on June 30, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on July 14th, 1928, to Oscar R. Rausch and Mary L. Roberts Rausch in Louisville, Kentucky. Delores was a former member of Christ Evangelical United Church of Christ and former scout leader and den mother. She was a true animal lover, keeping lots of animals throughout her life and will be remembered as someone who always had her hands full with her loved ones.

Along with her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Norman W. Ott, Sr; her daughter Rose Marie Ott; and 8 brothers and 1 sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Norman Ott, Jr. (Kay), Mark Ott (Libby), and Robin Taylor (Chuck); grandchildren, Joshua Ott, Brittany Deutsch (Jason), Chase Ott (Jennifer), Kendra Grindstaff (Jared), Stephen Taylor (Jennifer), Emily Selch (Brent), Megan Middleton (Matthew); great-grandchildren, Colin Selch, Lucas Selch, Ethan Selch, Katherine Selch, Micah Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Taylor Middleton, Adam Middleton, Olivia Grindstaff, and Hudson Grindstaff; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A visitation for Delores Ott will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on Friday July 11th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and a funeral service will be held the following day on Saturday July 12th at 12:00pm. Delores will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Delores’ name to the Fransiscan Shelter of Louisville and the Crusade for Children.
