Denise was born in Louisville to the late Earl and Lucy Emerick and she was a member of Highview Southside Church.
She is survived by her daughter Denise M. Patton; brother, Steve Emerick (Helen); and a sister, Deborah Vinson (Wayne).
Per her wishes cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be held at her church at a later date. Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home Taylor Blvd entrusted with arrangements.
