A Prayer for Denise

Heavenly Father, we come before You with both gratitude and sorrow as we remember our beloved Denise. We thank You for the gift of her life – for the warmth, love, and joy she brought as a devoted mother and grandmother. Denise’s deep love for her son and grandchildren was a reflection of Your own love, and we are forever grateful for the cherished moments and guidance she shared with her family. In our grief, we celebrate the blessings of her life, knowing that every smile and embrace she gave was a precious gift from You.

Lord, now that You have called Denise home, we entrust her to Your loving mercy. Eternal rest grant unto Denise, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her ￼. May she rest in peace in Your presence, free from all pain and filled with the light of everlasting life. We take comfort knowing that those who leave this world in Your grace remain connected with us through the Communion of Saints – the spiritual bond uniting the faithful on Earth, the souls in purgatory, and the saints in Heaven ￼. Embrace Denise into that heavenly community of love and fellowship. Lord Jesus, we pray for our dear Denise, who has fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection ￼. Welcome her into the joy of Your Kingdom, where there is no more sorrow or separation. May she be surrounded by angels and all Your saints, and may she rejoice forever in the glory of Your presence.

Merciful God, comfort us who mourn Denise’s passing. Though our hearts ache with loss, we find strength in the promises of our faith – in the hope that death is not the end but a passage to new life with You ￼. Give Denise’s son and grandchildren, and all of us who love her, the consolation of knowing that she is at peace and that her love endures. Help us to honor her memory by living with the same faith, generosity, and love that she showed. Keep us united with her in spirit until the day we are reunited in the resurrection. May Denise’s soul, and the souls of all the faith

She loved my fur babies and they loved her.

I will miss my best friend of 65 years. We will be together again and laugh at all our silly things we did. Love you Dee.

I worked with Denise at St. Edward Day Care.  She was such a sweet person and enjoyed our time together. She will be missed.

Denise was a wonderful person she spent a few holidays at our house over the last couple years. She spoke very highly of her grandchildren and loved them very much. She will be truly missed!

I have known Denise all of her life. Our Mother’s were best friends all of their life. I remember going to their house when I was little and playing while our parents played cards. After I returned from  Va Beach we reconnected and went to JCC, church together, out to eat lot ‘s of time and she joined our family for holiday gatherings and birthdays a few times. She will definitely be missed especially by her grandchildren . She baby sat for them all of their before school days , even driving back and forth from Louisville to Lexington to make that possible. She was always bragging about her grandkids and how smart they were and telling me stories about them and showing me pictures of them. They were truly the light of her eyes. I know she will always be with them loving them and guiding them.  I will miss her a lot

I have so many fond memories of growing up with Denise! She was quite a talented softball player. She absolutely loved Davy Jones and the Monkees. Denise would do anything for those she loved!

In later years, her son and grandchildren were the light of her life. The first thing she would do when we got together was pull out her phone and show me updated pictures of her beautiful family. She loved to go out to eat and she enjoyed any short trip she could take! 

I will miss her greatly. But, it’s not ‘goodbye’, it’s “see you later, Denise!” Love you! I know you are at peace and free from your pain, my friend!
