Dennis Stephen Cornwell, 62, 0f Louisville passed from this life on Tuesday December 24, 2013 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth. He was retired from Ford Motor Co., a 1970 graduate of the old Flaget High School, and an Army veteran. He was born on June 1, 1951 to the late Bernard and Mary Agnes Cornwell. He is survived by a sister, Pat Ott (Larry); a brother, Phillip Cornwell (Carol); 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 great nephews and 1 great niece. Funeral service for Dennis will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be after 10 am on Saturday. Online condolences may be left at, www.archlheadysouthernfh.com.

Pat, I'm sorry to hear about Dennis. We only got to see each other about once a year but when we did we always talked about the old days and had some laughs. I won't be able to make it for the service but I will keep you and family in my prayers.

Patty & Phil, I am very sorry for your loss. Dennis was a colorful figure to say the least. Had a few cocktails with him over the years, but had not seen him for awhile. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the service. May he rest in peace & best wishes to you.
