Mr. Smith was a retired Supervisor with Brown and Williamson, a WWII Navy Veteran, a longtime member of Harvest Baptist Church in Fairdale, Kentucky and a dedicated soul winner.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Smith and grandson Eric Ritter.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Donna Schultz (Gary), and James Smith (Myra); sister, Delores Summers; grandchildren, Bethany Morton, Benjamin Morton (Felicia), Barrett Morton (Cameron) and Melanie Adams (Stacy); great-grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Kyser, Emily, Ellie, Tucker and Riley.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 am, at Harvest Baptist Church, 9205 Brown Austin Road, Fairdale, Kentucky. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday.
The family would like to request that memorial donations in Dewey's name be directed to Harvest Baptist Church.
