Domenico DiGiovanni, 79, of Louisville, passed away at his home with his family by his side, on the morning of June 15, 2013. He was a native of Palermo, Italy and a master tailor by trade. He grew up working alongside his father in the family tailoring business. He loved to play soccer when he was young and enjoyed watching the sport throughout his life. He absolutely loved children, his and any others he met. A passion in his life was that he never wanted to see a child go hungry. Dominick always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Ninetta DiGiovanni; daughters, Tiziana (Jonathan) Morton, Sandy (Giuseppe) Ciulla; grandchildren, Piera, Davide, Genevieve, Gregory and Clayton; and a brother, Salvatore (Tatyana) DiGiovanni.
A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Dominick’s life will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. Fifth Street, Louisville, KY, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be on Tuesday, from 3-8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road
