He was a talented trim carpenter who belonged to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Millwrights, loved sports, fishing and was a big UK fan.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Anne Anderkin, a brother, Jimmy Wayne Anderkin.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty two years, Helen Anderkin, children, Morgan Serianni and Ginny Adwell. Siblings, Brenda Adams (Richard), Carolyn Sue Cox, Jerry Anderkin (Kathy), Judy Sample (Larry) and David Anderkin. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and his loving and devoted Boston Terrier, Vanderbilt.
A funeral service celebrating Donald’s life will be conducted at 3pm Sunday, February 2, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Visitation will take place Sunday from 1 pm, until service time.
