I am a former student (79-80) and Mr. Brooks gave me a summer job the after my dad died when I was in his American History class. I worked with the paint crews, athletic department duties and typed history tests. He was a wonderful teacher and man. I can still remember him singing and doing a softshoe to "Little Rhode Island, smallest of the 48 states." May you find peace in knowing his impact was far-reaching and always with integrity. Sandy, just got word (Thurs) today about Don, even though I'm in Kuwait my heartfelt prayers are with you and your family. You are my sister and I wish I could be with you during this time. REMEMBER all the wonderful experiences of life that you and Don shared!!

Mr. Brooks always had a smile on his face and was enthusiastic about his subject.  Even in a TV class with 200+ students.  I truly believe he is the reason I enjoy American History so much.

A wonderful man.  Teacher, coach, friend, and supervisor.  Many great memories. He will be greatly missed.

Sandy, 1 John 2:25 says, "This is the promise that He hath promised us even eternal life." At this time, take comfort in knowing Don is home with the Lord. We pray that the Lord's sweet presence is especially real to you as He brings you to the comfort that only He can give.  Our prayers and love are with you.  God bless you!
