
Mr. Carson was a 30-year employee of the University of Louisville and most recently assistant dean of the College of Education and Human Development. He was a generous donor and supporter of various charities and causes and an ardent UL Cardinal fan.
He was married to Melissa A. Johnson of Louisville. Mr. Carson was the loving son of Lois P. Carson and the late David C. Carson. He was the loving brother of David Carson Jr. (Becky) and Lois Adams-Rodgers (Jack); loving uncle of Kelly Carson (Missy), Carole Carson, Josh Adams (Sarah); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Samantha Carson, Dylan Carson, Kaden Carson, the late Kali Rae Carson and Carter Wayne Adams.
Arrangements are being handled by Evergreen Funeral Home, with a private viewing for family members, followed by cremation. A public memorial service is being planned for a future date at the University of Louisville.
Don was a trusted friend and colleague to the many who knew him well. A wonderful son and brother, brother-in-law and husband, he is already sorely missed by all.
