Don was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a lifetime member of Highview Baptist Church and retired from G.E. after 38 years of service. After his retirement he developed a passion for woodworking and a love of gardening. He will be so greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary M. Correll; 3 sons, Alan Correll, Greg Correll, and Scott Correll; and 1 grandson, Scott Correll, Jr.
Preceding him in passing was his first wife and mother to his children, Wanda Correll; and his daughter Theresa Correll.
A service to honor Don’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 18, at 12 Noon, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 17, from 3-7. Don will be laid to rest following the service on Tuesday in Resthaven Memorial Park.
