Hopkins, Donald L. "Hoppy" 76, entered into eternal rest on December 6, 2014. Don grew up in the carnival and later went on to work at the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company for 30 plus years. He was a lover of duct tape and professional wrestling. Don was a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus #5634 Pope John 23 Counsel.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Eleanor; son, Anthony Ray Hopkins; and great grandson, Phillip Hunter Wood.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Terri L. Shaw, Sandra F. (Lucian) Tomes, and Lisa L. Hopkins; grandchildren, Zacheriah (Amber)Patty Sr., Amanda (Phillip) Wood, and Phillip Borden; 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 pm and Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Entombment will be private at Evergreen Funeral Home.
