

Donald was a graduate of Male High School and a Korean War Navy veteran.
Donald retired from LG&E after 43 years of service.
He was a member of the American Legion, Plumb Lodge #862, where he was past Master, and Suburban Lodge #740.
Donald also was a member of the Kosair Shrine, Kosair Oriental Band, Kosair Past Masters Unit, and Scottish Rite.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Bernice Greene Orr Jackson; children, Eddie Jackson, Jeffrey Jackson (Charlotte), and Sharon Fowler; step-children, Larry Orr (Marsha), Kenny Orr (Lisa), and Carol Forbis (Ed); 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Lee Jackson (Betty); sister, Rachel Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service to honor the life of Donald Ray Jackson will be 10am, Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or Kosair Charities.
