Mr. Donald F. Quick 92, of Valley Station passed away Friday January 12, 2007 at the Hospice inpatient unit of Norton Pavilion. He was born in Brooks, KY., and was awarded the purple heart, and participated in the Battle of the Bulge and the D-Day invasion force during World War II. He was a retired salesman for Jack Dayton and Sons and Bunton Seed Co., a Mason, a former little league coach at Prairie Village and Beechmont Little Leagues, and a active member of Bethany Methodist Church and the Bethany Booster Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Louise Cundiff; two sons, Kim Quick (Karen), and Kerry Quick (Mary Lea); and grandsons, Ryan, Brandon, and Kevin Quick. A celebration of Mr. Quick's life was held on Monday January 15, 2007 at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son., 3601 Taylor Blvd. Burial followed in the Smith Memorial Chapel Cemetery in East View, Kentucky.
