He was my best friend in grade school and video game buddy... I was his chic therapist lol , my best friend/crush in middle school and into high school until he helped my now husband and me to get together.... nights at Robben's Roost him breaking my collar bone man we had some good time.... ( Donavon we did..) ALL of it!!! He was such an amazing person and I wish over the last 20 years we were able to see him not just the occasional chat. I am in such shock he is gone! I will never ever forget Donavon and all the stuff we talked about, he touched many, many people with his amazing, caring personality! He is so missed and he has left behind a true Legacy... I can't be at his services but my husband Monty will be there and I want you to know he is there for me too we love you and we are saying so many prayers for you in this hard time. I know Donavon is looking down and seeing how much he is loved and I am thankful to have had the honor of being able to call him my friend for so many years. Love to all Melissa Harris

Bro, I'm not even sure what to say here and what to keep to myself for later use. I've known you for a looooong time, man. One thing that I'll never forget is just hanging out at your house and running wild through the Highlands. From Wick's to PHT to Gillians to all of the little hole in the wall bars you drug me into. I dont know how many times I've crashed on that couch of yours. I guess now I'm going to have to find a new Louder Than Life partner 😥😥😥
Keep me a spot next to you brother ... I'll be there sooner or later. When I arrive ... the party will continue. Until then, I will miss you ... NUT CHECK !!

You were one of the first people I met working at Wick’s. Introduced me to some pretty good bands that I still enjoy to this day and were just an all around decent dude. I’ll miss running into you in Louisville and hope you are resting easy.

This makes me sad. When I lived in Louisville we always kicked it at the mag bar. I remember when we met we were both feisty and wanted to fight each other. Always fighting over which song to play on that old school mag jukebox. That ended up turning us into friends.
As I have lost touch with you over the time I have left Louisville. Every year around New Years a Facebook memory pops up us with the biggest smile arms around each other. That night we even kissed because well everyone else had someone to kiss and we didn’t. Haha. You have touched a lot of peoples hearts I know that for sure. Rest well.
