Donna Faye Phillips

Donna Faye Phillips, age 74, passed away on October 19, 2026, peacefully and with her family. She was born on November 16, 1951, to James and Margaret Votaw in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a former member of Mt. Holly Church and a current member of Cornerstone Community Church. Donna owned Fairdale Florist for over 10 years and truly enjoyed making flower arrangements. She loved to sing, and was known for being both stern and stubborn, but also joking around and having a great sense of humor. She enjoyed eating at Texas Roadhouse and would go several times a week with her friends and family. She also had several pets that she adored, including her 5 kitties and her daughter’s dog Millie. Donna’s favorite place to be was the beach. She spent many wonderful vacations spending time with her children and grandchildren to Panama Beach. She ill be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Votaw.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Stephanie Burkhead and Cayte Burkhead; her granddaughters, Hailey Elmore and Paisley Burkhead; her sisters, Patti Stewart (Chuck) and Linda Votaw; her best friend, Cheryl Vester; and a host of other beloved family members and friends.

A celebration of life in Donna’s name will be announced by the family in the coming days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Donna’s name to the National Kidney Foundation.
