
Doris Taylor Aston, 84 passed away at Baptist Health Care Hosparus Unit February 26, 2013 from dementia. She was born in Corbin KY. The daughter of the late Arthur and Claudia Taylor. She graduated from St. Camillus Academy, Corbin, KY in 1945. After graduation her family moved to Knoxville Tennessee, where she attended the University of Tennessee and participated in the marching band as a drum majorette. She met her future husband, Arthur Aston Jr. in Knoxville and they were married for over 50 years until his untimely death in 2002. Doris worked alongside her husband at his chiropractic office located in Buechel for many years. She was a former member of Buechel United Methodist Church. Always a sharp dresser and a lady of fashion, she loved to travel, tend to her flower gardens, entertain, play the piano, enjoyed the outdoors and taking care of pets.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Rana Franke, who helped with her care, Dr. Arthur F. Aston III, her grandsons Ted and Sean Franke, her granddaughters Amanda Franke and Brittany Aston, her sister Ann Cammarata of St. Louis and her two best friends, Dot Avare and Doris Johnson. The family would like to thank Arden Courts, Dr. Todd, Dr. Anderson, nurse Sharon Ruhl and Hosparus for the compassionate care that she received.
