She was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana and was the daughter of Leona Ford. She attended the University of Indiana.
She loved to sit on the back deck watching the hummingbirds.
Everyone of our friends immediately claimed her as their "Mom".
She is survived by her son, Steve Dawson (Sharon) and daughter Gail Compton (Peewee). She had 4 grandchildren, Mike Payton (Brandi), Jenny Payton, Joey Compton, Susan Hawkes, and 11 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Crawford Dawson, son, Gary Dawson, and grandson, Matt Payton.
The funeral service will be held on September 30, 2024 at 12PM at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218. The visitation will be held from 10 AM until 12PM.
