She was born on March 29, 1921. She was a member of Loyal Homemakers of Spencer County, past member of Eastern Star #447, a member of First Fisherville Baptist Church, the Middletown Senior Citizen Group and past high priestess of Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. She was the owner/ operator of Kentucky Security Police, Inc.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Melbert Gentry.
She is survived by two daughters, Pauline "Polly" Pennington (Caywood) and Edith "Edie" Judd (Hobert); six grandchildren, Michael Lee Coyle, Vickie Grieshaber, Debbie Judd, Sherry Block, Connie Eisenback and Nancy Jo Daugherty; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
